One year of operation for Aultman-Taylor required 300 cars of coal, 500 cars of lumber, and 300 cars of iron making a train that would stretch 17 miles.
When farms turned to combines, and the combustion engine came in, Aultman- Taylor went out. The company was sold in 1923.
The property and factory buildings of Aultman-Taylor were eventually to become part of Ohio Brass. Begun in 1888 as a small brass foundry with 20 workers on two floors, the company came to cover 73 acres and employ a work force of 900.
